Foods that Lower Cholesterol
A heart healthy diet prescribed by your medical doctor is a great
way to reduce your bad cholesterol levels. Notice that the foods below
do not contain a high amount of saturated fat. Most of them are fruits,
vegetables, high fiber, and fish. Essentially a farmers diet.
Here is a list of foods that help lower cholesterol.
Barley
Cereals that contain psyllium or flaxseed
Fish - Omega 3 Fatty Acids help reduce the risk of blood clots and
blood pressure. Salmon, tuna, swordfish, and trout.
Flaxseed

Fruits: strawberries, grapes, citrus fruits, rasberries, blueberries,

cholesterol. It contains soluble fiber.

are healthier than refined white products.
*Bake, roast, or broil your food instead of frying it when possible.
Here is a sample diet of someone trying to lower their cholesterol:
Breakfast might be a healthy serving of oatmeal, flaxseed, a few
walnuts, and fresh fruit.
Lunch might consist of legume stew with fish or skinless chicken breast
with plenty of fresh vegetables.
Dinner might be a broield fish, vegetable salad, and walnuts for desert
